It seems like it was a bust week in the Search industry this week. Of course anytime that you have a major conference taking place (SMX East 2010) you can expect some major SEO and Search related announcements.

- Relevance
Again, I personally believe that the engines place too much value of link popularity and while there are hundreds of components to the ranking algorithms, link popularity continues to be one of the most important pieces. Regardless, these link building basics are a good reminder.
