It is exciting to see that the man himself, Mr. Guy Kawasaki, will be in Kelowna this Thursday, March 29th speaking at the OSTEC 2007 Silicon Vineyard Innovation Awards. Guy who was a key factor behind the success of the Macintosh computer; is a Silicon Valley venture capitalist; and an eight-time author will be the guest speaker at this year’s awards. OSTEC is the Okanagan Science & Technology Council.
From what I have heard, Guy is an energetic and entertaining speaker. He has been successful in everything that he has done and is apparently an all around down to earth person. Currently, Guy Kawasaki is a managing director of Garage Technology Ventures. If you haven't read his latest book, The Art of the Start, it is a must read for anyone who has entrepreneurial aspirations. He also has a great blog which he dubs "A practical blog for impractical people."
It's great to see Guy come up to Kelowna as he is often quite busy with any number of ventures that he is involved in. Not to mention all of Guy Kawasaki's speaking engagements that he participates in. It should be a great evening. For those able to attend, there may be a few tickets left but they are going fast. Here are some of the specifics.
