Google announced earlier today that thye have released their Official Gmail blog. The blog wil be used to communicate news, tips and tricks surrounding Google's email product offering, GMail.

I love Gmail - all my email is now online via gmail. I have all my other non-gmail accounts pointing to my main gmail account which makes reading/sorting/searching much easier.
Also, if you like Gmail, try out the "better gmail" extension. It adds a whole bunch of features to make Gmail even easier to use.
Combined with (as you said) docs and calendar and it handles a lot of stuff I used to do on my desktop. I hardly use desktop apps for anything anymore.
